Welcome to the tiny inkling studio

I’m a working artist living on Gadigal land in Sydney, Australia. I've been an art maker since I was a child, an art teacher since I was a little older than that, and an art lover my whole life. I hope that here you can find some art that you love too

Each piece in my latest series', RELOVED FLORA and RELOVED SAILS, includes a long-hidden treasure, uncovered when I stepped on some ceramic fragments in the park. Each artwork includes one, or more, of these tiny pieces, which I have reused, recycled and reloved into something new

My most recent tiny inkling happened when I wasn't even looking (literally). There is a glorious park near my home, which I have walked and wandered for decades; last year I stepped on a piece of broken china and looked down to see an array of them half-buried in the dirt. Vintage china and shards of old glass, blooming up out of the soil like strange flowers, ready to be plucked and polished into something new. Welcome to my newest series... RELOVED

Each is a unique mixed-media artwork; hand-drawn ink and watercolour. Found ceramic fragments and shards of glass complete each piece. Created on white, lightly-textured, 240gsm watercolour paper (approx 13 x 17.5cm / 5 x 7")
